We are thrilled to introduce another CLEANHYPRO’s esteemed consortium partner, the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE).
The Fraunhofer ISE is based in Freiburg, Germany, and is the largest solar research institute in Europe. For over 30 years, they have been supporting the development of climate-neutral industrial processes and sustainable mobility with the development of hydrogen technologies. They support customers in the fields of electrolysis, fuel cells and sustainable synthesis products with highly qualified research and development services: they conduct feasibility
studies, develop and test components or systems and carry out analyses from the microscale up to global energy systems. Hence, their excellent laboratory infrastructure provides the foundation for scientifically grounded innovations.
Meet the team
- Selina Klose – Researcher Electrolysis
- Sebastian Kopp – Head of Group Electrolysis
- Tom Smolinka – Head of Department Electrolysis and Hydrogen Infrastructure
- Maren Lebrecht – Engineer Electrolysis Test Systems and Characterisation
We’re proud to join Europe’s largest water electrolysis project, CLEANHYPRO, to develop an efficient, sustainable and industry-ready production of green hydrogen. Our focus on the characterisation of PEM electrolysis is crucial for meeting the rising demand for PEM electrolysers. A strong in-situ characterisation with state-of-the-art measurement techniques enables the evaluation of component behaviour in operation. We look forward to collaborating with our CLEANHYPRO partners from industry and academia and showcasing our new stack test capacities!
