About

Welcome to CLEANHYPRO, Horizon Europe project addressing the pressing need for efficient, sustainable hydrogen production. In light of ambitious European climate targets, hydrogen is emerging as a key player in decarbonizing our energy systems.

CLEANHYPRO brings together 28 organizations from 11 European countries, offering cutting-edge materials, advanced technologies, and services through a unified Test Bed. Our mission is to provide an accessible entry point for industrial partners, especially SMEs, to adopt breakthrough electrolysis technologies with minimized costs and risks, speeding up market adoption.

In collaboration with the European Green Hydrogen Acceleration Centre (EGHAC), CLEANHYPRO is poised to drive market-creating innovations, contributing significantly to Europe’s green hydrogen production objectives. Join us on this transformative journey toward a sustainable, decarbonized future.

Objectives

Our primary objective is to develop and organize a sustainable Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB) for electrolysis materials and components, providing a network of facilities and services through a Single Entry Point (SEP) to companies. Our main goal is to upscale and upgrade 9 Pilot Lines from past investments at Regional, National, and European levels, fostering a future sustainable manufacturing ecosystem. Complemented by technological and non-technological services, we aim to support companies in the further development of marketable electrolysis materials and components.

The core objectives of CLEANHYPRO are driven by our commitment to provide advanced
electrolysis products and services. We recognize the importance of:

Developing high-level and reliable electrolysis materials and components across the entire value chain

Catering to the market’s demands for improved efficiency, reduced costs, and enhanced durability
