Innovate, Validate, Deploy: An Expert-Led Workshop on EU Hydrogen Opportunities

The CLEANHYPRO project is set to host a pivotal online workshop, “Innovate, Validate, Deploy: Leveraging EU Opportunities in Green Hydrogen,” on September 24th at 10:00 AM CET. The event will bring together leading experts from industry and European-funded sister projects to discuss the future of clean hydrogen production and the mechanisms that can accelerate its adoption.

The workshop will feature a dynamic agenda designed to provide valuable, actionable insights for professionals, researchers, and policymakers. The session will kick off with a welcome from CLEANHYPRO Coordinator Bart Goes, followed by a deep dive into the sector from Marco Molica Colella of Hydrogen Europe. Álvaro Ramirez Santos will then present a concise overview of the business case for green hydrogen in the EU.

A highlight of the event will be a comprehensive roundtable discussion on “EU mechanisms to support your hydrogen innovation & deployment.” Moderated by Aymen Sarjam (PNO), the panel will feature representatives from four key projects:

  • Bart Goes (CLEANHYPRO)

  • Pietro Giovanni Santori (H2SHIFT)

  • Cahit Benel (OUTFOX)

  • Mariana Martín Betancourt (24/7 ZEN)

The discussion will explore topics critical for scaling up technology, including Open Innovation Test Beds (OITBs), “Safe and Sustainable by Design” principles, and EU Open Calls.

The workshop will conclude with a dedicated session on the “Industry Impact,” where each project will highlight its practical outcomes and relevance to end-users. The event will close with an interactive Q&A session, providing attendees with a direct opportunity to engage with the speakers.

This workshop is a must-attend for anyone looking to understand the ecosystem of EU hydrogen innovation and how to participate in it.
