We are excited to introduce one of our esteemed consortium partners, Fraunhofer IFAM Dresden, as part of our “Meet Our Partners” campaign. Fraunhofer IFAM Dresden plays an important role in the CLEANHYPRO project, bringing its extensive expertise in special coating technologies, heat treatment, catalyst and electrode development for Alkaline Electrolysis (AEL), and electrochemical testing of electrolyzer components.
Meet the Team
- Nadine Eißmann: Group Manager, Functional Materials
- Christian Bernäcker: Group Manager, Electrochemical Technology
- Anton Salomon: Researcher, Functional Materials
- Sascha Morlock: Researcher, Electrochemical Technology
- Laerte Cintioni: Researcher, Electrochemical Technology
At Fraunhofer IFAM in Dresden, their team of interdisciplinary researchers specialises in powder metallurgy, innovative sintered and composite materials, and functional materials for energy technology, mobility, and hydrogen technology. With a deep commitment to advancing green hydrogen accessibility, the Fraunhofer IFAM Dresden team is focused on developing and scaling up AEL electrode fabrication to meet the increasing demand for alkaline electrolyzers.
“We’re proud to join Europe’s largest water electrolysis project, CLEANHYPRO, to advance green hydrogen accessibility. Our focus on developing and scaling up AEL electrode fabrication is crucial for meeting the rising demand for alkaline electrolyzers. We are excited to collaborate with our CLEANHYPRO partners and showcase our new electrode fabrication route!”
Stay tuned as we continue to highlight the incredible work and contributions of our partners in the CLEANHYPRO project. Together, we are paving the way for a sustainable, hydrogen-powered future.
