Showcase #4 combined the expertise of advanced ceramic materials and manufacturing technology providers (Cerpotech and 3DCERAM), and Solid Oxide cell and stack experts (Elcogen) with Pilot Lines 7-9 (IREC and VTT) to develop new, improved materials and manufacturing methods for SOEL cells.
Starting with Cerpotech’s ceramic fine powders and utilizing 3DCERAM’s 3D-printing technology, IREC’s manufacturing lines and VTT’s analysis facilities, novel air electrode and electrolyte materials for SOEL cells were identified and characterized for potentially reduced production costs, reduced use of CRMs/REEs, and improved performance.
