Meet Our Partners: PNO – Driving Innovation and Exploitation in CLEANHYPRO

As part of our “Meet Our Partners” campaign, we are proud to introduce PNO.pt, one of the key partners in the CLEANHYPRO project, leading the crucial task of ensuring that the innovative outcomes of the project are successfully brought to market. PNO.pt plays a pivotal role in crafting the exploitation strategy for the CLEANHYPRO project, […]
Large scale hydrogen production: The importance of the small scale

The production of hydrogen (and oxygen) via water electrolysis is a non-spontaneous process. This means that an external source of energy is needed to create a potential difference between the electrodes and drive the electrons flow. Theoretically, the minimum potential difference needed between the electrodes is ΔE = 1,23 V at standard conditions. However, the […]

Meet Our Partners: The Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC)

We are excited to feature the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC) as part of our “Meet Our Partners” campaign. IREC, a public research center under the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Generalitat de Catalunya, has been a beacon of energy innovation since 2008.
Alkaline water electrolysis: enabling large-scale production of green hydrogen

Decarbonization is an essential and urgent task to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change. In fact, moving societies from the use of coal and other fossil fuels to alternative energy sources to power industries, transportation, and the hard-to-abate sectors is one of the challenges of our time. To execute the energy transition fully, we need new and innovative solutions, as well as a shift in personal behaviors, and legislative changes.
