Meet the Partners: Cerpotech is Crafting the Advanced Ceramic Powders Shaking Up Hydrogen Technology

Have you ever wondered what actually goes into making the next generation of clean energy tech? Often, the secret lies in advanced materials science. This is where our project partner, Ceramic Powder Technology AS (Cerpotech), steps into the spotlight.

Based in Norway, Cerpotech is a pioneering technology company that develops and commercialises advanced ceramic oxide powders. These aren’t your typical ceramics; these are highly specialised materials manufactured using an advanced method called spray pyrolysis. They are used across a huge range of cutting-edge markets, from clean energy batteries and advanced catalysts to Solid Oxide Cells (SOC) for electrolysers and fuel cells.

Their Role in CLEANHYPRO

Inside the CLEANHYPRO project, Cerpotech is bringing its deep expertise to our Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells (SOEC) showcase. They are responsible for developing and manufacturing the high-quality ceramic oxide powders needed to build these ultra-efficient, high-temperature hydrogen systems.

By supplying these advanced materials, Cerpotech is helping to lay the groundwork for our Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB), making top-tier materials accessible to researchers and businesses across Europe.

In Their Own Words:

“Cerpotech has been involved in development of materials for solid oxides cells for many years and see the necessity of new and improved materials. With our method we can easily customize a broad range of compositions. We are happy to contribute with our advanced high quality oxide powders to the development of CLEANHYPRO pilot lines available for research and industry to test materials.”

Meet the Team Behind the Science

Bringing this advanced technology to life requires a brilliant mix of management, research, and engineering. Here are the key people driving Cerpotech’s contribution to CLEANHYPRO:

  • Anne Dalager Dyrli (CEO): Managing the project, financial administration, and communications for CLEANHYPRO.

  • Rita Glenne: Providing strategic direction and guidance as Senior Advisor.

  • Leif Olav Jøsang: Heading up production operations and working as a lead Research Scientist.

  • Eva Beate Holm: Keeping the technical wheels turning as the team’s Laboratory Engineer.

  • Lars Erik Pettersen: Ensuring precision scale-up as the Production Engineer.

By combining their unique powder manufacturing methods with the shared infrastructure of CLEANHYPRO, the Cerpotech team is making it easier for the European energy sector to test, scale, and deploy the clean energy tools of tomorrow.
